I am of the opinion that all sales letters don't have to yell at you from the page. Here's my take on a recent article that I found. I followed the steps and questions below and wrote my own sales letter. I am putting it here for you to learn from as well. This letter I sent out to 20 of my personal email list. I got 5 to join my forum, 5 who took a look at the offering and 10 who bought the offering. Hypnotic writing does work. Thanks Joe Vitale.
Subject: I couldn't believe what I was reading.....
I standing at the kitchen table when I was reading a message left there by my husband. I couldn't believe what I was reading when he said.......
"Honey I left early this morning because I think we need a new house." I scream, "what!" I couldn't help myself. the note goes on, "Don't worry, we are out of the hole we were in three months ago. We have pleanty of money due to the new business we started. We can afford a bigger house and a new vehicle."
I was floored. I had to sit down and hold my head. was I Imagining things. we had been on food stamps and in a traler for years. We had just been struggling to get by. Steve had gotten tired of it and he decided to get these books and start to write blogs, tweet and even use Facebook. He was aining pace, making a little and then the bottom of the stock market dropped. We could see above the water, we were drowning until he found this business.
He loves it. When he read the plan, his eyes lit up and you know he had one of those "ah, ha!" moments.
Anyway were doing just fine now. we are well on our way to getting back on our feet without debt this time. New house and new car coming, it's all I can do not to cry. That's my husband, full of surprises.
I'm sharing all of this with you today because you are someone on my personal email list, and this is personal news which I think can inspire others to go for, and get, their dreams. Whether it's a new car, a new house, more money, real love, or joy in this moment, it's all possible.
Just ask my husband.

P.S. The plan he used is at my forum in the links. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheArtOfPreSELL . Live your dreams.
This is the way we should be writing our sales letters. Here is the paln used by Joe Vitale and others. This step by step plan works and was designed by Joe Vitale. Here it is with my extra notes attached:
1. The headline. Your headline has to make the prospect want to sit down and read. While most headlines have to be benefit-oriented, curiosity-invoking headlines are proven to grab readers, too.
2. The opening sentence. not only compels you to read the second sentence, it is actually impossible to complete the first sentence---because it doesn't end! Those dashes are grabbing your nose and pulling you into the next sentence, which occurs to be the next paragraph.
3. The letter tells a story. Stories sell. Stories compel. Stories pull people into the drama unfolding and make them a part of the action. As this letter reveals it's story, it also conveys selling messages to you hypnotically---messages that urge you to get this book now. This wasn't hype. This wasn't "Get This Now" or "Hurry before it's too late!" Although these do work, but you are missing an opportunity to connect with your readers and build a rapport with them. You are not giving that personal touch.
4. The letter reeks of sincerity. I learned that sincerity sells. Sincerity is hypnotic. Why does it sell, because you are connecting with the reader on a personal level. People like stories with great ending. Why do you think the "Good Guy" always gets the girl at the end of the movie? Don't lie or mislead or gyp people. Tell your story in the most hypnotic way possible and the people most interested in it will respond. You are essentially carrying on a conversation with others.
5. The ending PS, "The plan he used is at my forum in the links. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheArtOfPreSELL . Live your dreams." is a subliminal call to action. While writing firey PS's that warn you of dangers if you don't act now, are helpful if not overdone in the body of the letter, my PS above works in a soft-sell way. The story in the letter says "Get this new plan." The PS simply tells you where.
You can take my tried and tested emailed sales letter above and use it as a model to write your own hypnotic letter. Here's how:
Just think of a story---a true one, remember---of someone who benefited from your product or service in a record-breaking way, and write the event up following my formula and my letter. It may help you to remember these key questions:
1. How can you make your headline so compelling and curious that people can't help but read your letter?
2. How can you begin your next letter in such a way that it actually compels even forces people to keep reading? Without overdoing the "act now" phrasing.
3. How can you tell a story about your product or service that compels people to want it? Show people your character and personality. show them you are real person.
4. Are you telling the whole truth in your letter? This shows your character. This lets people in on how you really do business.
5. How can you more softly let people know how to buy your product or service? With all the hype out there, sometimes people sell better when the entire pitch has a personal touch. You can put your benefits directly in there with a story.
Finally, I think the greatest secret to making any sales letter or email message truly hypnotic is in being genuinely excited. My sales letter above is based on what actually occurred to me. My husband DID write me. He DID buy a new house. It WAS a result of implementing a new business. I was so gilted by the note on the table that I conveyed my surprise in my sales letter---and that joy became hypnotic to my readers. Use personal experience to show people what they can do to make a change. until next time, Live Your dreams.
P.S. I still do have that plan at my forum. Come join us. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheArtOfPreSELL
